  • Ram Avrahami's lawsuit against US News and World Report for selling his name on a mailing list without his permission.
    Though USNWP has won all the way to the appellate level, Avrahami is appealing to the Virginia Supreme Court. The case, if it goes Avrahami's way, could have an immensely beneficial effect on privacy, if widely influential in other jurisdictions, by finally establishing an individual's proprietary interest in their own personally identifiable information.
