Any recipient of this message interested in receiving a copy of the *extensive* dialogue taking place in the Well's EFF (Electronic Freedom Foundation) conference can send me email. --------------------------Attached Message----------------------------- This letter is sent in protest to what I feel is CMU's dismal response to Martin Rimm's questionable "study" of pornography on the internet. I won't belabor you with details of a controversy which I am *sure*, by now you are all too familiar with. Suffice it to say that I find the continuous, ongoing revelations about the study (methodology, facts, sources, review standards etc.) troublesome. What I find equally troubling about this whole debacle is Carnagie Melon's continued side-stepping of many issues which are being brought to bear by concerned citizens not associated with either CMU or Georgetown Law. As a result of CMU's failure to follow through with a *thorough* self- analysis of the issues raised, I find that I can no longer give serious consideration to CMU as a choice for post-graduate studies.
