After a brief but turbulent research career, Rimm has decided to re-enlist in the US Army as an artillery sergeant in the 5th Motorized R.R. Unit. His new commanding officer, Lt. Col. Hugo Root claimed that he was cautious but optimistic about Rimm's appointment to his unit, and claimed: `Martin has proven himself capable enough in the handling of Motorized R.R.-type units in the past, and he should have the chance to put his past behind him.' A spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff declined to comment on the Rimm appointment, nor were any precise details on the function of the R.R. Units forthcoming from the Pentagon. -- Geoff Langdale | "This rambling and roving has taken its course 2nd year PhD student | I'm grazing with the dinosaurs and the dear old horses CMU School of | And the city streets crack, and a great hole forces me Confusing Science | Down with my soapbox, my pulpit." - Nick Cave ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - alt.internet.media-coverage #13795 (1 more) (1)+-(1)--(1) From: jdfalk@cais.cais.com (J.D. I just got mail from Marty demanding a public apology for my `AP Forgery'. I told him his desires have been noted. I'm sure that I'm meant to think that he's a big legal danger to me or something, but as a public figure, he's fair game for satire. Geoff. ps.
